Mission
Orono Parks Legacy seeks to enhance Orono parks and public spaces by aligning philanthropic and public investment with community vision to build relationships with our natural resources.
Vision
We seek to advocate for the role of the parks in Orono, to serve as a catalyst for community initiatives, and to facilitate philanthropic investment and community partnerships to accomplish parks initiatives that serve the public by:
- Contributing to the health, well-being, and identity of Orono through enhancement of its parks, trails, and open spaces to support active lifestyles
- Making Orono more resilient and environmentally rich through the preservation and enhancement of its natural resources
- Supporting events and activities that bring all people together to experience, activate, and recreate in Orono parks
